Cream of Wheat is a hot breakfast cereal or porridge invented in 1893 by wheat millers in Grand Forks, North Dakota. It is similar in texture to grits, but made with farina (ground wheat) instead of ground corn.
Recipe: (1 serving)
Bring 1-1/2 cup water to boil,
add pinch of salt (optional), Sweeten to your desired liking
add 1/4 cup Cream of Wheat.
Stirring constantly, return to boiling over medium heat and reduce to simmer. Cook approximately 10 minutes or until thickened. Stir frequently.
