Dutchman’s Store is a beloved old time general store in Cantril, Iowa, known throughout the Midwest for its unique shopping experience and incredible variety of products. Since 1985, visitors have traveled to southeast Iowa to explore this iconic store filled with bulk foods, fabrics, kitchen supplies, homestead goods, clothing, and hard-to-find items you won’t see in a typical retail store.
What began as a small family business has grown into a destination shopping experience while still maintaining the welcoming atmosphere and traditions that made Dutchman’s Store famous.
While most customers visit our large retail store in Cantril, we also ship select products nationwide through our online store, including popular canning supplies, jar goods, and Dutchman’s private label products like our famous beef jerky.

What a great hidden gem! This country store has a variety of dry goods and fresh food. They have a hot buffet and made to order sandwiches as well as free coffee and dollar soft serve. You will find plenty of homemade food and baked goods.
Matthew SteinI traveled 2 hours and 20 minutes to get here. It was well worth it. The bulk meat prices were better than Sam's Club. The main reason for going for me was the fabric selection. It did not disappoint. There are so many beautiful fabrics and sewing notions. The high quality cotton quilting fabrics... averaged $7 to $10 per yard. Everywhere else I've looked for that kind of quality is about $12 to $15 per yard. The staff is friendly and helpful. I plan on making the trip quarterly at minimum.read more

This new location has plenty of parking unlike their last location,if you're hungry you... can even get a bite to eat! Definitely a must stop if close,i try atleast once a month!
