Dutchman’s Store is a beloved old time general store in Cantril, Iowa, known throughout the Midwest for its unique shopping experience and incredible variety of products. Since 1985, visitors have traveled to southeast Iowa to explore this iconic store filled with bulk foods, fabrics, kitchen supplies, homestead goods, clothing, and hard-to-find items you won’t see in a typical retail store.
What began as a small family business has grown into a destination shopping experience while still maintaining the welcoming atmosphere and traditions that made Dutchman’s Store famous.
While most customers visit our large retail store in Cantril, we also ship select products nationwide through our online store, including popular canning supplies, jar goods, and Dutchman’s private label products like our famous beef jerky.

I’m from Indiana and every chance I get to come out to the store I do they have awesome sales. Their chicken nuggets are to die for their cinnamon rolls are awesome and I always managed to find a good deal on one thing or another that I use, and I need to stock up on it.

I refer to this store as the 'Mennonite Costco'. You can find a plethora of options in clothing, cookware, everyday essentials, food, gardening,... and so much more. There is even a food court that will not disappoint. The prices here are great and matched by none, saving so much money during an otherwise expensive moving process. On top of the fantastic deals, the staff are stellar. They are welcoming, helpful, and impressively efficient. Melody WilsonWhat an adventure! If they don't have it, it probably doesn't exist! We stocked up on meat, fresh produce, bulk pectin (the equivalent of 21 boxes of Sure-Jell for the price of three), and Sterzings potato chips (we bought a case)!

The other side is full of home goods, toys, crafts, etc.You can also purchase and eat food here, as well as plants.Clean, organized, plenty of parking.

Vintage candies. Bulk candy.It is a very large store. We spent 90 minutes there and only perused 1/3 of the store.Next... time through I want to look at the fabric, toys, games, puzzles, and footwear.So much to see! Ran out of time.read more

Teresa VoylesWhat a great hidden gem! This country store has a variety of dry goods and fresh food. They have a hot buffet and made to order sandwiches as well as free coffee and dollar soft serve. You will find plenty of homemade food and baked goods.
