I had very high hopes for these lids and bought a great number of them. They are as advertised in the thickness and wide seal compound area, however I have had trouble with them.
In the first batch in which I used them, I had a 12% failure rate (regular mouth), and in the second, 2 out of 7 wide mouth lids buckled. I have not had any trouble with any other lids – at all – in the hundreds of jars I’ve pressure canned.

I tried these for the first time only recently. They all sealed but it’s too soon to say if they’ll keep their seal for the duration of my stored canned items. One difficulty is that it’s really difficult to see if the lid has popped down for the seal because their surface is so flat; unlike the Ball/Kerr brand which has the “button” in the center making those easy to see if they’ve popped down and made the seal. This is an aggravating and time consuming aspect of these otherwise wonderful lids. “Time consuming” because I had to spend time closely scrutinizing each jar and wonder if the lid had actually sealed.
