Distinctive “pop” feature provide audible and visual assurance of seal integrity. Calibrated to meet FDA psi vacuum standard sfor home canning.

QuinTek Protection
Five layers of corrosion protection, and three layers of interior protection, including a food grade electroplate, BPA free base coat, and a BP free top coat.

 

Helpful Hint: When tightening the ring prior to canning, it is important to “tighten it, but not make it too tight” because over tightening ring will not allow the jar to seal properly.

An easy way to ensure that the ring is tight, but not too tight, is using the three-finger method. Using only three fingers prevents you from over tightening the ring.

    I’ve been canning for over 20 years using Ball/Kerr lids, which were great until they switched to “SureTight” technology which have failed me way more than I care to count. I tried Superb lids last summer. Today (January) I checked my inventory of dozens of jars I canned last summer and am delighted that none of the Superb lids lost their seal (unlike one Ball lid which did).
