PERMA–FLO® Starch is a thickening starch produced from corn which is used in soups, sauces, gravies, fillings and dairy products. This starch provides thick, creamy texture, high shelf stability and medium resistance to breakdown during cooking. Some of the benefits of this product: A slightly creamier product should result when comparing to Kleer Jel. When it is used in large quanities it should not have an off flavor as sometimes results with Kleer Jel. When a product made with Perm Flo is frozen it should not become watery when it is thawed as can happen with other food starches.
