Helpful Hint: When tightening the ring prior to canning, it is important to “tighten it, but not make it too tight” because over tightening ring will not allow the jar to seal properly.

An easy way to ensure that the ring is tight, but not too tight, is using the three-finger method. Using only three fingers prevents you from over tightening the ring.

The rubber gasket is noticeably larger in width and is considerably thicker that the other name brands and off name brands I have on hand. The metal of the lid is significantly thicker and more substantial. Very pleased with the quality and am thrilled that they are made in the USA!!

    It was great! I received the lids very quickly. The Superb lids do not come with instructions. That is not your fault. I called the Superb plant and got the instructions from them. They don’t seem to print them or put them on their website. You might want to put it on your website or send a little print out with the orders.

Why when I ordered Superb lids and they didn't have Superb stamped on the lids as shown in the photos. Why is that? Sara Purvey asked on August 1, 2023

Some of the Superb Lids produced don't have the logo printed on the lid, the blue seal under the lid is there trademark
